Rhino Hobby Carbon Filters
The Rhino Hobby Carbon Filters is constructed from Australian-mined RC412 carbon, the best in the world. The carbon in our filters is tightly packed and sealed into a high-efficiency airflow cylinder with a vortex cone in the base and a custom pore surface for maximum transference. The high-porosity carbon and lightweight aluminium make the Rhino filter smaller and easier to handle.
How the Rhino Hobby Carbon Filters Work
The Rhino Hobby carbon filters work by either Pushing or Pulling air over a 30mm activated carbon bed, Activated Carbon is a charcoal that has a highly absorbent surface area. As the air is moved through the carbon filter the carbon grabs onto the odours and will make sure the air leaving your grow room is completely odourless.
- 30mm bed of RC412 activated carbon.
- Aluminium tops and bases for reduced weight.
- Reversible neck for longer life span
- Sizes from 4″ – 10″
- 51% open area custom mesh for greater airflow.
- Machine packed carbon means more carbon and less movement.
- Coned internal base for optimum airflow

How long will a Rhino Hobby Filter last?
Unlike other Rhino Hobby carbon filters will have an effective life span of 9 to 12 months, our filters have always been known to have an out lasting performance. Replacement carbon sleeves are available to make them last even longer.
What is Contact Time?
Contact time is a measure of how long contaminated air needs to contact carbon for the total removal of impurities. At an estimated 0.05 seconds, our carbon has one of the shortest contact times of any carbon available. All the factors discussed above contribute directly to this. This allows Rhino Filters to use less carbon than competitors and return massive reduction in overall filter weight with superior university proven results.
